Just Starting Out

I am just starting my own photography business but I have been taking photographs for years. Ever since I was 17 and took photography in high school, it has been all I want to do. I remember coming home and telling my mom, I want to be a photographer when I grow up, she told me "thats too impractical". Thanks for the support mom. But now she is my biggest supporter, she has every wall in her new house covered in my pictures. I love to take pictures of everything that I see, I feel like I see things most people have forgotten about or just take for granted. I was a Pediatric Intensive Care nurse for six years and loved working with babies, the smaller they were the more I just adored them. Then when we had our beautiful son Samuel, all I fell in love with taking his picture. So I could remember every moment of his precious life. As a mother I know too well how fast they grow up. I want to specialize on newborn and babies so I can give other mothers an everlasting memory of their sweet angel when they were so new to the world. I feel like the first year of their lives goes by so fast and for new mothers it is such a stressful, tiring, but blessed time. It is hard to remember the first few months, mostly you just can't wait for them to grow so you can get some sleep, then when they start crawling and walking you wish they could stay your baby forever.
